Advanced Placement
At IHS our students have access to several advanced placement (AP) classes such as: AP World History, AP US History, AP Pre-Calc, AP Calc, AP Computer Science, AP Spanish, AP Art, and more!

College in the High School
At IHS our students have access to several different college in the high school classes, where they can earn college credit while staying in high school. Some of our offerings include: Critical Reading and Writing, Cultural Studies, Earth as an Ecosystem, and more!

Computer Science
Computer Science A (CSA) introduces students to software engineering and object-oriented programming and design using the Java programming language. This curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including the design of solutions to problems, the use of data structures to organize large sets of data, the development and implementation of algorithms to process data and discover new information, the analysis of potential solutions, and the ethical and social implications of computing systems.

Construction
Construction students learn the importance of industry safety. Students are expected to meet course objectives depending on their skill level and complete assigned projects as well as projects of their own design and choosing. Our students who take two or more years here at IHS are able to receive college credit and industry exposure prior to graduation.

Environmental Sciences
Our Environmental Science classes offer meaningful engagement with our natural environments through student-based inquiry, hands-on projects, and field trips with community partners. We focus on topics such as restoration ecology, climate solutions, soil and water quality, local food systems, and sustainable development. Students also have the opportunity to earn college credit through a partnership with Central Washington University's "College in the High School" program.

Fashion and Accessories
In fashion, students will begin with the basics of hand stitching, move on to machine sewing, garment making and creating outfits to be displayed at the annual Innovation Experience Fashion Show.
In accessories, students will use the correct tools, techniques and supplies to create a variety of accessory and jewelry projects. Advanced Students will work together to create and display items to be sold at the annual Innovation Fashion Show and Exhibition.

Entrepreneurship
In this course students will transition their great idea into a viable, well researched, thoughtfully constructed business plan. Additionally, as a group, they will build a plan for a student created, run and managed, open to the public, and thriving business.

Outdoor Leadership Academy
Outdoor Leadership Academy (OLA) is a group of students who enjoy the outdoors and are passionate about making their school a great place to be. Our motto is "Advocacy, Community, Inclusion". Our students chose these three words because they advocate for change as well as for others when they see a need, they care about building community through outdoor experiences and school events that foster togetherness, and they want everyone to feel welcome and included. Their goals are to provide planned outdoor enrichment activities for their classmates throughout the school year, as well as founding the school's library and sensory room space.

Performance Music
Innovation's music program allows students to learn songs of their choosing with an instrument of their choice! Students have the opportunity to form bands, record and release music, and play concerts.

Visual Arts
Students focus on how we, as an artist, can impact our community and the world around us in positive ways. Art classes are guided by an inquiry question they want to investigate through their art. Students work with a verity of tradition materials for both 2-d and 3-d. Students will look at different colleges and career paths while developing a well rounded portfolio.

Video Production
In Video Production students will learn the basics of movie making. We will cover story telling, filming, lighting, and editing. Learning how to develop a movie from start to finish. We will also explore many different genres and styles culminating in a short film project.

Web Design
Dive into the core principles of User Experience Design, covering topics such as user-centered design principles, the design process, and the importance of accessibility in creating inclusive products. Learn about the typical roles and responsibilities of entry-level designers, as well as the dynamics of collaboration with teams. Build your own professional portfolio to showcase your skills and projects.

9th Grade Success
9th Grade Success is a course designed to teach students the skills they need to be successful in high school and beyond. Topics include organization, note taking, professional communication, typing, career exploration, and study skills.
