  • Ashley Erickson--Board Chair

    Ashley Erickson is an Alaskan native who moved to the “lower forty eight” to join the military. She served as a heavy construction equipment operator for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Ashley left the Army to start a family. She settled on the east coast where she launched her career working in early childhood development. As a mother of a child with special needs, she learned to be an advocate for both her own children and others while navigating the complexities of the education system. After nearly a decade on the east coast, Ashley relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 2016. With a passion for architecture and design, she set to work in the construction industry. An entrepreneur at heart she started Ethelyn Design, an Interior Design and Consulting firm in early 2020. Ashley brings a unique blend of real world experience to her role with both personal and professional insights that are relevant to the future of education.

  • Keith Stanhill--Vice Chair

    Keith recently completed a career in Human Resources Leadership with positions of responsibility in the Space Shuttle Program, Wireless Communications, and Healthcare. Most recently, Keith was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Tenet Healthcare in Memphis, TN and Fountain Valley, CA. Throughout his career, Keith has focused on Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Contract Negotiations and Employee Relations. Keith’s volunteer activities have been focused on public education. He served on an Advisory Board for Fairfield, CA school district as Community Liaison to develop curriculum for students at risk of dropping out of school. Keith organized and managed a Mentor Program for 50 students, providing a community member mentor for each student. He served on the Benicia, CA school board as Advisor for Curriculum Development for high school students preparing to enter the work force. This effort was focused on helping the schools develop a curriculum that directly relates to the skills necessary to succeed in the work world. Keith served as a mentor to high school seniors in Memphis, TN to assist with the college application and scholarship eligibility process.

  • Courtney Lee--Treasurer

    Courtney Lee is a dedicated real estate agent with Spokane Home Buyers, specializing in representing home buyers since 2014. Driven by the belief that knowledge is power, Courtney is passionate about education. This passion not only fuels her commitment to educating each home buyer she works with but also inspires her active involvement on the Innovation Spokane Board.

    Throughout her career, Courtney has volunteered extensively, primarily focusing on education. She recently contributed to the Long-Range Planning Committee for Cheney School District, helping to shape a strategic path forward for the growing District. As the Programming Chair for the EWU Young Professionals Network, she organized networking events for young professionals in the area. Additionally, she served as an advisory member for the GEAR UP program at Lewis and Clark High School and spent a year as the voting student member on Eastern Washington University’s Board of Trustees during her graduate studies.

    A proud Washington native, Courtney grew up in East Wenatchee and moved to Spokane in 2004 to attend Eastern Washington University, where she earned her BA in Human Resources, followed by her Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Public Administration. She fell in love with the area and decided to make it her home. Courtney is married and has two wonderful daughters. She is a proud graduate of the Leadership Spokane Class of 2014 and currently serves as the Troop Leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.

  • Ted Zhang--Trustee

    Ted Zhang is a seasoned technology executive, having spent the last 20 years in roles of increasing responsibility in product, marketing, and management.  Most recently, he was the Vice President of the US Market for a smart lighting company.  He is currently the Academic Director at Gonzaga University for the Center of Engineering Design & Entrepreneurship.  Ted has an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, and a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He lives in Spokane Valley with his wife and 4 children.
